‘John Wick: Chapter 4’ trailer: Keanu Reeves, Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, and lots of firepower

John Wick can’t melee his way back onto our screens fast enough, but I’ll gleefully roll around in the trailers until then.

Following an action-packed first trailer, John Wick: Chapter 4 has another look dropped by Lionsgate on Thursday. And yes, you’re hearing one hell of a cover of “Woke Up This Morning,” the Sopranos theme song from Alabama 3. And YES, that’s a german shepherd running the hell over a bunch of cars in Paris. It’s what we come here for, dogs, single-hand combat, and a slew of stars.

Keanu Reeves is back as our favorite animal-flanked assassin, with Director Chad Stahelski back at the helm and a frankly colossal cast of new and returning faces: Donnie Yen, Bill Skarsgård, Laurence Fishburne, Hiroyuki Sanada, Shamier Anderson, Lance Reddick, Rina Sawayama, Scott Adkins, and Ian McShane.

By this point, Wick is a highly wanted man, with a major price on his head. But he’s got business — deadly business — with the High Table. The underworld’s most powerful players around the world will have to answer to that special set of skills with their own. Honestly, watching Rina Sawayama getting well stabby has me absolutely screaming.

It wasn’t just a puppy, and this isn’t just a tetralogy.

John Wick: Chapter 4 is in cinemas March 24, 2023.
