{"id":9105,"date":"2023-02-25T16:11:00","date_gmt":"2023-02-25T16:11:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/gustavopineda.com\/?p=9105"},"modified":"2023-02-25T16:11:00","modified_gmt":"2023-02-25T16:11:00","slug":"twitter-non-payment-lawsuits","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/gustavopineda.com\/?p=9105","title":{"rendered":"Twitter hit with new lawsuits for not paying bills"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><imgsrc=\"\" alt=\"illustration of red storm going on inside twitter logo\"><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/mashable.com\/article\/elon-musk-twitter-cuts-latency-slack\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Elon Musk&#8217;s Twitter<\/a> has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2023\/02\/24\/musks-twitter-has-been-sued-by-at-least-six-companies-for-unpaid-bills.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hit with at least six lawsuits<\/a> by different companies for failing to pay bills, CNBC reports. <\/p>\n<p>According to legal and public records database <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plainsite.org\/tags\/twitter-vendor-nonpayment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Plainsite<\/a>, these non-payment lawsuits have piled up since December. Four of these lawsuits have been filed in February, two just this week. These latest come from corporate events planning company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plainsite.org\/dockets\/4yv8ciz79\/superior-court-of-california-county-of-san-francisco\/blueprint-studios-trends-inc-v-twitter-inc-et-al\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Blueprint Studios, which allegedly invoiced Twitter<\/a> around $340,000 including tax for a canceled event, and AI software company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plainsite.org\/dockets\/4yv8byud2\/superior-court-of-california-county-of-san-francisco\/writer-inc-v-twitter-inc-et-al\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Writer, Inc., which alleges that Twitter owes<\/a> them over $220,000 for subscription fees.<\/p>\n<div class=\"mx-auto mt-8 w-full max-w-3xl font-sans text-lg leading-normal md:text-xl md:leading-7\">\n        <span class=\"font-bold text-primary-400\">SEE ALSO:<\/span><br \/>\n        <a href=\"https:\/\/mashable.com\/article\/elon-musk-funding-secured-tesla-verdict\" class=\"text-secondary-300\"><br \/>\n            Jury rules for Elon Musk in lawsuit trial, clearing him of fraud<br \/>\n            <svg class=\"inline-block ml-1 w-4 h-4 font-normal fill-current\"><use href=\"https:\/\/mashable.com\/images\/icons\/spritemap.svg#sprite-arrow-right-thin\"><\/use><\/svg><br \/>\n        <\/a>\n    <\/div>\n<p>Earlier this month, mergers and acquisitions firm <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plainsite.org\/dockets\/4ymvwzrr3\/supreme-court-of-the-state-of-new-york-new-york-county\/innisfree-manda-incorporated-v-twitter-inc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Innisfree filed a lawsuit against Twitter<\/a> for alleged non-payment of nearly $2 million. Analysis Group, which provided litigation-related consulting to Twitter and its counsel prior to the Musk deal, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.plainsite.org\/dockets\/4ysujkmvc\/massachusetts-district-court\/analysis-group-inc-v-twitter-inc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">filed their lawsuit for alleged non-payment<\/a> of over $2 million days earlier.<\/p>\n<p>In December, Twitter was hit with lawsuits from Columbia REIT, the company&#8217;s landlord in San Francisco, and Private Jet Services Group, which provides private jets, according to Plainsite. <\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s only the latest news of apparent penny-pinching that&#8217;s gone on since Musk&#8217;s $44 billion deal for the social platform went through in October last year. This week, <a href=\"https:\/\/mashable.com\/article\/elon-musk-twitter-cuts-latency-slack\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitter employees said<\/a> they couldn&#8217;t access their internal Slack channels.
