In front of them is a block of text reading, \" accessibility: the greatest.><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s hard to describe the vital role of accessible technology in the everyday lives of its users, but Apple&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=8sX9IEHWRJ8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">newly released short film<\/a>, <em>The Greatest, <\/em>has made quite the effort. <\/p>\n<p>The video stars (and was created by) people with disabilities, individuals who use tech like smartphones, watches, and tablets daily to do much more than just make calls and surf the internet. Highlighting things like the iPhone&#8217;s Assistive Touch and <a href=\"https:\/\/mashable.com\/article\/apple-ios-how-to-use-door-detection\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Door Detection<\/a>, the Apple Watches&#8217; <a href=\"https:\/\/mashable.com\/article\/apple-ios-how-to-use-sound-recognition\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Sound Recognition<\/a> notifications, and Speak Selection for iPad users, the two-minute video is also a great breakdown of the unlimited potential of accessible technologies \u2014 as well as Apple&#8217;s commitment to making its in-house products usable for all. <\/p>\n<div class=\"w-full mx-auto max-w-3xl font-sans mt-8 text-lg leading-loose md:text-xl md:leading-7\">\n        <span class=\"font-bold text-primary-400\">SEE ALSO:<\/span><br \/>\n        <a href=\"https:\/\/mashable.com\/article\/apple-best-apps-2022\" class=\"text-secondary-300\"><br \/>\n            Apple picks its favourite apps of 2022<br \/>\n            <svg class=\"ml-1 w-4 h-4 fill-current inline-block font-normal\"><use href=\"https:\/\/mashable.com\/images\/icons\/spritemap.svg#sprite-arrow-right-thin\"><\/use><\/svg><br \/>\n        <\/a>\n    <\/div>\n<p>Onscreen, viewers watch a day in the life of seven Apple users using this variety of Apple tech and accessible system settings to be &#8220;their greatest,&#8221; while behind the scenes, a team of people with disabilities led the creative endeavor.
