For what feels like forever now, we’ve been wracking our brains every single day to figure out what the Wordle word of the day is, and asking our friends to give us hints once they’ve figured it out. There’s no doubt that Wordle is fun, but since it’s a digital game, it can be a pretty lonely affair. That all changed when the beloved word puzzle launched as a board game in October of this year. Unlike the single-party digital version, Wordle: The Party Game is designed for two to four players aged 14 and up. One player gets the esteemed title of Wordle host (a huge undertaking, if we’re being honest) and writes down a five-letter Secret Word on a dry-erase Wordle board that everyone else tries to guess in six or fewer attempts.
Guessers receive points based on how many tries they take to get it right, and the person with the fewest points at the end of the game wins. Since the board can be reused again and again, you can easily run through multiple rounds on game night.
For a twist on standard gameplay, players can also compete in Fast, Timed, and Team modes, which sound very dramatic, but hey—why not make things harder?
