College is a bloody mess in trailer for ‘The Boys’ spin-off ‘Gen V’

The trailer for Gen V, the highly-anticipated spin-off from Amazon Prime’s smash hit series The Boys, is here. And it’s bloody as hell.

The trailer opens on Vought International’s Godolkin University School of Crimefighting as a disembodied voice promises that the school is “a safe space for you to thrive.” Then the camera pans down a corridor where the word “murderer” has been smeared in red spray paint over a doorway. I guess safety is relative in these hallowed halls.

Gen V promises to follow “the lives of hormonal, competitive Supes as they put their physical, sexual, and moral boundaries to the test” competing for the best contracts in the best cities. It joins animated spinoff The Boys Presents: Diabolical and web series Seven on 7 as the latest expansion of the show’s universe.

The show stars Patrick Schwarzenegger as Golden Boy, Sean Patrick Thomas as Polarity, and Marco Pigossi as Doctor Edison Cardosa. Jaz Sinclair (“The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina”), Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, and Asa Germann round out the cast, with The Boys stars including Colby Minifie and Jessie T. Usher also appearing.

Gen V will premiere sometime in 2023, with a specific release date yet to be announced.
