Mark your calendar accordingly: Best Buy is having a Black Friday in July sale from July 10 to 12, giving Amazon some tough competition for Prime Day (and shoppers an opportunity to score huge summer savings on tech).
The electronics retailer teased some of the top deals from its event in a press release this week. Lo and behold, one of them is already live: As of July 7, you can get the 65-inch Roku Select Series 4K Smart TV on sale at Best Buy for $399.99. That’s $50 off its suggested retail price of $449.99, or an 11% savings.
This exact TV will get $30 cheaper once Black Friday in July formally starts, FYI, but there’s a catch: You have to be a member of a paid My Best Buy plan (Plus or Total) in order to unlock those extra savings. If you’re not planning on signing up, you might as well add this TV to your cart ASAP — at $400, a 4K smart TV of this size could easily sell out.
The Roku 65-inch Select Series 4K Smart TV is a huge viewing option for at-home movie nights and boasts 4K Ultra High Definition for lifelike color, images, and detail, while the customizable home screen lets you put your favorite channels and shows right at the top. You can use either your phone via the integrated app or go old-school with the included remote, and it easily works with other smart home devices, too; it’s compatible with Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, and Google Home.
Access to Roku gives you over 50,000 movies and TV shows at your fingertips, from top streaming services such as Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Google Play, and more. There’s even automatic brightness; the TV adjusts to the light in your room so you don’t have to keep fiddling with the remote.
