How far would you go in an attempt to track down a loved one who’s gone missing?
That’s the question at the heart of Netflix‘s new trailer for Travis Taute and Daryne Joshua’s TV drama/thriller Unseen, which follows a cleaner, Zenzi Mwale (Gail Mabalane), who goes to pick up her husband on the day of his release from prison — only to find he’s already been released earlier in the day and is now nowhere to be seen.
What follows looks like a tense cat-and-mouse game where Zenzi must navigate a criminal underworld while also evading the police, after she first bends and then breaks the law in an attempt to get to the bottom of what’s happened.
