Banksy murals appear on war-damaged buildings in Ukraine

Artworks by renowned graffiti artist Banksy have appeared amid the ruins of shelled buildings in Ukraine’s Kyiv oblast. So far, murals have been spotted in the towns of Borodyanka (sometimes also spelled Borodianka), as well as Irpin and Hostomel. After they were liberated from brief Russian occupation in April, Borodyanka and Irpin revealed some of the most devastating damage in this part of Ukraine, some of which amounts to war crimes committed by the Russian army.

Banksy seems to have confirmed the authenticity of these murals in an Instagram post.
